Learn Mindfulness in Wirral
Understand your mind. Experience life differently.
An 8-week mindfulness course in Hoylake, Wirral. Small groups, guided practice and a welcoming space to learn.
Have you ever wondered why your mind keeps returning to the same thoughts? Why you sometimes react in ways you later regret? Or why it's so difficult to simply enjoy the moment you're in?
Mindfulness helps us become curious about the way our minds work, understand our thoughts and emotions, and discover how to respond to life's experiences with greater awareness and compassion.
Together, we'll explore mindfulness, compassion and insight, discovering how greater awareness can help us recognise habitual patterns, respond to life's challenges and make more conscious choices.
Tuesday evenings · Hoylake, Wirral · Small groups · Beginners welcome
Join the February CourseMindfulness is More Than Meditation
Most of us spend years learning about the world around us, but very little time understanding the world within us.
We think, worry, plan, remember and react, often without noticing just how much our thoughts influence the way we feel and behave.
Mindfulness offers an opportunity to become curious about these patterns, rather than simply being carried along by them.
And while meditation is an important part of learning mindfulness, the real value comes from bringing that awareness into everyday life.
It's not about emptying your mind or becoming a different person. It's about learning to understand yourself and discovering that you have more choice in how you respond.
Through this eight-week course, we'll explore mindfulness, compassion and insight, developing skills that can continue to support you long after the course ends.
What You'll Discover Over Eight Weeks
The Mindfulness-Based Living Course is a structured, evidence-informed programme combining guided meditation, reflection, discussion and practical exercises.
Together, we'll explore three interconnected foundations:
Mindfulness – Learning to Notice
Discover how often we live on autopilot, caught up in thoughts about the past or future. Learn to recognise what's happening in your mind and body, and bring greater awareness to everyday experiences.
Compassion – Changing How We Relate to Ourselves
Explore how we respond when life becomes difficult. Learn to recognise self-criticism and develop a kinder, more supportive relationship with yourself and others.
Insight – Understanding Our Patterns
Begin to recognise the habits, assumptions and beliefs that influence how you think, feel and react. With greater understanding comes the possibility of responding differently, rather than repeating familiar patterns.
The aim isn't to become calm all the time. It's to develop the awareness and understanding that help you navigate life with greater choice.
Your 8-Week Experience
Learning mindfulness is a little different from learning most other subjects. It's not about memorising information or getting the answers right. It's about exploring your own experience.
Each week, we'll come together in a small, friendly group to explore mindfulness through guided practices, discussion and reflection.
You'll have opportunities to share your experiences, ask questions and learn from others. Often, hearing someone else's experience helps us recognise something about ourselves.
There's no pressure to share anything personal, and no expectation that you'll be good at meditation. We all arrive with different experiences, and that's part of what makes learning together so valuable.
Between sessions, you'll be encouraged to practise at home, gradually discovering how mindfulness can become part of everyday life.
Eight weeks gives us time to explore, practise, reflect and build on what we're learning together.

Meet Your Mindfulness Guide
For much of my life, I thought being busy, thinking constantly and juggling responsibilities were simply part of being a capable adult.
It wasn't until I discovered mindfulness that I began to question how much of my experience was shaped by the activity of my own mind.
I became fascinated by the relationship between our thoughts, emotions and the way we experience everyday life.
Mindfulness didn't stop life's challenges. But it changed how I understood them, how I responded and, perhaps most importantly, how I related to myself.
That curiosity eventually led me to study mindfulness at master's level and leave a long corporate career to share what I'd learned.
