Drifting off just got easier with Sleepy Nights

Lying awake for hours desperately trying to get to sleep?  Is your mind churning through a recap of the day, or planning the day ahead?

Maybe you get to sleep only to find yourself awake in the early hours, struggling to get back to sleep.  You may have noticed that the harder you try to sleep the harder it seems to get and as you lie awake you become more and more conscious of that getting up time edging closer and closer.

"Get to sleep now - you only have 4 hours left!"

It's like nothing works!  When we go to bed earlier, we just get to lie awake for even longer.  I've literally fallen asleep on the couch only to find that once I climb into bed.... yes ... I'm wide awake.

A good night's sleep, it's not too much to ask is it?

So when my meditation clients told me that my body scan practices were sending them to sleep, I decided I'd experiment with creating a sleep guide.  I recorded the voice; added some soothing music and then added some background binaural beats that sit right in the zone of the brain's sleep waves.  The next thing I did was to test it for myself.

Listening to the sound of your own voice can be a bit odd, and for the first 15 minutes, I was convinced it wasn't working.   Then, just between you and me,  I woke up with slobber on my face!

I find that when I do get to the end of the guidance, the mind is so switched off, it can't be bothered to start back up again, and low and behold I drift off to sleep.

So here it is... Sleepy Nights - your 30 minute transition to a sleepy state.

From one busy mind to another, you'll find this guidance puts you in a state of calm.  With Sleepy Nights, your biggest challenge might be staying awake all the way to the end.......

So why not lie back and allow these lovely calming tones to wash over you as you rest and ...

What do people say about Sleepy Nights..

Lou

"Thank you for creating a wonderful full body wind down for both the body and mind. The first 2 times I listened I fell asleep before the end! For this moment I was exactly where I was supposed to be. I loved the idea of support it was so relaxing. Thank you 🙏 "

Helen

"Worked a treat on me... I was out within 15 mins.  Thank you Julie""

Nicola

"My sleep pattern has literally grown wings and flown out the window and headed to Australia. So when I saw the post for sleep meditation, I thought I'd give it a go. I used it for 5 consecutive nights. First night, I heard it all the way through. The voice was relaxing and calming. The instructions helped me control my breathing. In the morning after the third night, I realised that I'd only heard the first 30 seconds before I drifted off. Generally when I get into bed that's when I process the day's happenings but I felt this  helped to quieten my mind and helped me drift off to sleep."

Meet your guide

Mindfulness has changed my life in so many ways.  It's helped me to work with stress, deal with narcissism and to live each day in colour.

Before I studied I was constantly worried and struggled to sleep.  I found mindfulness practices that really helped me to switch off and when I started teaching, I learnt that my approach to guidance often had people snoozing through their practice.  I realised just how tired people are and how vital good rest is, so I created my first sleep meditation.  If it goes well, there'll be more on the way, so I'd love to get your feedback.
