If life feels relentless and switching off is a challenge, you're in the right place.
Welcome to the sandwich generation, and I'm not talking afternoon tea! Many of the women I meet are still balancing it all - work, family life, running a home and caring for aging parents. Finding time to relax isn't the only challenge, we've taught ourselves to keep busy, and when we slow down we struggle with guilt or our sense of identity.
Mind21 is an experience that requires us to take time out in a way that feels nurturing and restorative. It's not just an excuse for down time, the evidence based mindfulness techniques help the mind and nervous system to calm down, building patterns that have a lasting effect.
How Mind21 Works
When you sign up to Mind21, you'll receive an email link giving you lifetime access to the experience.
- There's 21 videos organised across three weeks. In week one, you'll find a welcome video and daily videos for days 1 to 7.
- Simply find a comfortable spot, preferably lying down, and press play.
- From day one, the soothing guidance begins to calm the nervous system and settle the mind.
- It starts by building awareness of physical sensations, deliberately taking the mind away from its constant chatter.
- Day by day, the body and mind remember how to calm down.
- As the content evolves, it explains how the mind and stress response system can be settled through mindfulness.
- But don't overthink it, because deep change comes from putting on the headphones and turning up for yourself. That's why each day includes a minimum practice time of 20 minutes. Time to remind your mind and body, how to switch off.
- The nurturing language soothes the inner critic challenging the tone of that continuous voice.
What to Expect?
Backed by forty years of research, on completing the course you'll have a better understanding of how to look after your nervous system and emotional health. You'll be armed with tools to:
- Reset the nervous system in just 3 minutes
- Pause and intercept patterns that stoke up your emotions
- Recognise how situations impact your emotional well being, as they arise
- Let go of rumination and worry
- Take longer periods of time out to recharge your batteries
This experience isn't just giving you a daily session of calm, mindfulness has been shown to reshape the neural pathways positively impacting habits associated with wellbeing. This can leave us feeling calmer and clearer in our day to day situations.
To make the experience more relaxing, we filmed it in a beautiful garden in Yorkshire, complete with a pond.

What our customers are saying..
Helen (Product Lead)
This course put ME back in control of my reactions.
Mind21 requires a commitment of 30 mins per day, but I enjoyed being fully immersed in the experience.
As a working mum, it was the perfect excuse to escape for half an hour a day and learn more about the power of meditation. It turned out to be so much more than that. It's a great balance between education on how the brain manages stress and following different meditation practices. The course taught me to recognise the triggers of stress and I'm now better able to cope with them. It's shown me the power of being present and recognising my mind's power over my mind body. As a self-diagnosed control freak, Mind21 has helped to put ME back in control of my reactions. I can't thank the creator of Mind21 enough for this empowering course!
James (I.T Tech Lead)
I felt like I was on edge constantly before I followed Mind21.
Initially I was stressed during the working week but by the time I joined Mind21, it was constant. I'd begun to feel on edge most f the time even at weekends.
I was really sceptical about mindfulness but I've been surprised by how effective it's been. The first week gave me techniques I could apply instantly. I left the course able to tune into techniques that help me manage stress. I no longer feel like my stress is out of control. It's improved my sleep and overall I feel less on edge.
Elisabeth (Pharmaceuticals Student)
I don't think I could have got through exam season without it.
As a working Mum and student, it was difficult to balance it all and not feel overwhelmed. For me, Mind21 was both calming and educational. I absolutely loved the theory of the mind and found it so fascinating. I used the techniques to manage my day but also followed the practices when I felt overwhelmed. I don't think I could have got through exam season without it. Thank you Julie.

NICE TO MEET YOU
Hi, I’m Julie
I'm passionate about helping people discover a less stressed, more balanced way of living.
I never really considered stress a problem, because it drove me and helped me to achieve. But every so often, I hit a tipping point where the responsibilities I'd taken on, became too much. That led to resentment and finally exhaustion.
Mindfulness changed everything. I learned how our minds and bodies respond to stress and constant thoughts - and for the first time, I realised I wasn't broken.
This was a light bulb moment!
I wanted to share these simple techniques and insights with other women. Helping them to understand and navigate their challenging minds to reclaim calm, clarity and confidence.

Five Patterns That Contribute to Exhaustion
Imagine running your car on full throttle until it runs out of fuel. That's burn out, the empty tank - the sign that you've just been pushing through. Challenging times over stimulate the body's fear response system and we can find ourselves feeling on edge and eventually exhausted. It sneaks up on us:
- The body gets out of the habit of returning to its reset position, because life feels permanently "full on";
- The mind thinks about problems all of the time, which causes the body to feel threatened, so it stays on high alert;
- The chemicals of fear build up in our system and without restorative rest, they don't subside so we feel on edge or emotionally sensitive, most of the time;
- We begin to feel emotionally out of control and have the additional worry of how to hold everything together. This contributes to our emotional distress;
- The body is continually working to try and reset the fear response system and return the nervous system back to stability. In addition to everything the body is already doing, this places us under continual physical duress.
Sometimes the demands of life mean we don't have the luxury of being able to change our situation. Mind21 teaches us how to switch off and calm everything down, allowing our natural fear response system to reset.

Have a look at how Mind21 addresses some of the common patterns we all face.
The Overworked Mind
Our mind thinks continuously, it can't switch off. We think we're problem solving but we're actually stuck in a loop, we just don't know it yet.
Vs
Interrupting the Mind Loop
From day one, the daily practice teaches the mind how to settle and refocus. It begins to break down the pattern of continuous thinking.
Emotional Leakage
Emotions are on high alert and anger or frustration arises quickly. It doesn't take much for us to feel under threat and the mind jumps in to defend us or rationalise our emotions. This automatic approach ramps up our emotional state compounding our feelings.
Vs
Emotional Management
Access to simple techniques including a 3 minute reset tool to calm our nervous system. Practices reconnect us with our physical reaction giving us early awareness of our true emotional state. We learn to recognise what we actually feel vs what the mind tells us we SHOULD be experiencing. We learn to train our attention and begin interrupting the mind's tendency to create defensive thoughts that ramp up our fear response.
Problems Drifting off to Sleep
Its difficult to drift off to sleep because the mind is churning over our problems looking for solutions. Due to the mind, body connection, in this state our nervous system is probably unsettled.
Vs
Access to Relaxing Guidance
The practices show us how to settle the body and mind which prepares us for a good night's rest. Some clients even use the bodyscan as a sleep aid.
Surviving & Striving
We become obsessed with doing and being constantly busy. We strive continually, missing breaks and reducing time for activities that give us joy.
Vs
Emotional Balance
Mind21 provides insight into how we get trapped in survive and strive mode using the latest science in Professor Paul Gilbert's three part emotional system.
Guided practices aligned with his model, help us to rebalance this mindset and with practice can rebuild our patterns neurologically.
Attachment to Thoughts & Emotions
When we attach our sense of self to our emotional experience or our mind, we can feel weighed down by a situation. It becomes all consuming as the mind works tirelessly to think of a way forward.
Vs
We are not our Thoughts
The course provides perspective on our thoughts and sense of self. We begin to realise we are bigger than our thoughts and become able to observe and manage them. We also come to appreciate the nature of impermanence and how this situation will pass.
Inner Critic
The inner critic is the part of our self that protects us from walking around with our skirt tucked in our pants! It's protective & defensive and definitely has it's role to play. It can also be that harsh voice that ramps up our fear system or dampens our courage to move forward.
Vs
Acting with Discernment
Through the course, we learn to recognise the role of the inner critic so we can work with it rather than under or against it.
Over time, the tone and words of the practices, change the nature of that inner voice, making space for a more compassionate inner dialogue. Decisions are taken from a place of safety and courage.
