The Wisdom Book Club
Very few things are as powerful as a book that makes us reflect on the amazing miracle it is to be human. It can only be surpassed by sharing those books with others. Welcome to the Wirral Mindfulness Book Club new for 2025.

-
We'll meet online, fortnightly - Tuesdays from November to July.
-
Each discussion will start with a guided meditation embodying what we learn along the way.
- Subject to complexity the book discussion will last from 1 to 1.5 hours.
-
There'll be 7 inspiring books from leading authors in mindfulness, collected from local bookshops, carefully wrapped and delivered to your door every 4 - 6 weeks.
-
6 have been chosen, the 7th will be chosen by the readers
£385.00 or (£50 per month for 8 months)
The book club will run from November to July excluding holidays. The price includes 7 books with postage and packing and 17 online mindfulness and book sessions held fortnightly. The group will be capped at 8 people. Books are staggered over 4 to 6 weeks to reflect their complexity.
The Books
The following books have been selected to include both modern and traditional approaches to mindfulness.

Reading takes us to so many places...
A range of books selected to give you a flavour of traditional mindfulness, modern mindfulness and everything in between.
Start the year with the gentle teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and the popular teachings of Jay Shetty. Then we'll go deeper into the traditionalists to understand the beautiful work of Pema Chodron and Kirsten Neff and the Westernised approaches of Kabat Zinn and Eckhart Tolle.
A mini tour of the journey of mindfulness but most of all a heart warming selection to deepen your understanding.
Starts on Tuesday 18th November 7 - 9.
Meet your guide
Mindfulness has changed my life in so many ways. It's helped me to work with stress, deal with narcissism and to live each day in colour.
What I love about this course is the information it provides around how our mind and body works. These little insights really encourage us to take a step back and reflect on our inner world.
The language of the guidance also delivers a sense of safety and curiousity.
I work better with small groups and believe this creates space to talk and learn from each other without the awkwardness that might arise in larger gatherings.
Qualifications
Julie has a masters degree in mindfulness from Aberdeen University and specialises in mindfulness based stress interruption and qualified to teach with the British Mindfulness Association. Julie also has diplomas in life coaching, NLP and a masters in I.T.
